Dr. Barbara M. Amos is the founder of Kinston Christian Center in Kinston, NC and Faith Deliverance Christian Center in Norfolk, VA. She is also the Executive Director of Dorcas, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to promoting spiritual, educational and economic wellness in impoverished communities in America and throughout the world.
As a humble messenger of Jesus Christ, she is led by the power of the Holy Spirit in a unique multi-faceted approach to ministry. Dr. Amos is thoroughly committed to the mandate of Christian ministry as outlined in Mark 16:15, "And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation."
Additionally, Dr. Amos provides apostolic oversight for Faith Deliverance Christian Fellowship, a group of ministries called by Christ into covenant relationship for the purpose of furthering His plan in the world.
Affectionately known as Dr. A, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and has done graduate studies in Social Work at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia. She is a graduate of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia, receiving a Master of Divinity degree, magna cum laude and has earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Palmer Theological Seminary (formerly Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary) in Philadelphia, PA.
